The world is vast. We land on various places on earth. The moment one finds himself or herself somewhere initiates questions such as, "Do I belong here?" or "Is this where I am supposed to be?" I have asked those questions to myself a thousand times. And yet, there are still no definite answers.

Everything in this world is temporary. Nothing is permanent. Therefore, things of this world can disappear in an instant; even the whole world can break apart.

But is finding where we belong the most important? What if we never find that place?

There is always a place on earth that is worth visiting, makes us feel at home, and holds a special memory. There is also a place that is worth forgetting, makes us sad or lonely, and holds a painful memory. In every place, there is always people whom we share a lot of things in common with. But there are also people that are very different from us. Some places make us feel so poor and powerless. Others cause us to be thankful for what we have. But the most common about these places is that they always make us miss where we've been and at the same time, they make us look forward to somewhere better. This longing is endless. For we will never be contented with earthly things. There is always a desire to want more and see more.

Beautiful things on earth are good. But they are not always good. We must not rely on what we have here on earth just because they are so beautiful in our eyes.

I am reminded of the verse in Colossians 3:2, "Set your eyes on things above, not on earthly things."

"Finally ready now to close my eyes and just believe that you won't lead me where you don't go."
-We Dance, Steffany Frizzell Gretzinger & Bethel Music
What is the use of living for things here on earth? We have a final destination that is better and more beautiful than anything we could ever imagine. It is the most worthy to visit. It will make us feel at home. It will hold a lot of beautiful memories. It will satisfy all our longings and desires. It is an eternal place with an Eternal Creator.

For those who believe in the Truth, heaven is the eternal place. And we can only reach heaven when we acknowledge the Eternal Creator and welcome Him in our lives.

So wherever we land and we'll find ourselves questioning if it is where we belong or if we are in the right place, think of God. Like the earth, He molded you and me. He is the creator. He creates and recreates our paths. He brings us to places where He resides.

Trust and believe. To God, we belong.
